Semanoff Ormsby Greenberg & Torchia, LLC, has been named "Business of the Year" by the Eastern Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce, recognizing the firm for its standard of excellence and commitment to Montgomery County.

Two Chamber of Commerce members nominated the firm for the award: Goldenberg Rosenthal LLP and Kreischer Miller, both prestigious accounting firms. It was then voted on by a selection committee.

It is unusual that two different members nominated them for the award. One member said they nominated the law firm because of their commitment to Eastern Montgomery County, and their proven expertise and high standard of ethics.

The firm's partners Harold Semanoff, Charles W. Ormsby Jr., Howard N. Greenberg, Michael J. Torchia and Peter J. Smith are dedicated community members and strong supporters of the Chamber. In addition to financially sponsoring events like the annual "Best of the Burbs" and the Business Expo, they regularly participate in Chamber activities. Semanoff is a dedicated Chamber volunteer and he serves as Secretary of its Board of Directors. Smith is an ambassador for the Chamber.

Torchia is a regular speaker on litigation, workplace investigations and employment law topics throughout the state, and he and Greenberg lecture other attorneys at continuing legal education programs. Ormsby serves on the Abington Memorial Hospital Business Advisory Board and runs the High School Youth Group at St. Vincent de Paul Church in Richboro, Pa.

Over the past 21 years the firm has grown from three employees to 36, including 17 attorneys, growing not only in size, but scope and expertise during this time. Many clients choose Semanoff Ormsby Greenberg & Torchia, LLC because they feel other, many times, larger firms, do not give them the attention they deserve.
